The Troilus Project is located in central Quebec, Canada, and is situated approximately 120 km north of the city of Chibougamau. The Troilus deposit lies within the eastern segment of the Frotêt-Evans Greenstone Belt, and it is primarily a gold-copper deposit, but contains minor amounts of silver, zinc, and lead.
The project encompasses the historic Troilus Mine, which was an open pit operation producing gold, copper, and silver continuously from 1996 to 2009. The mine produced more than two million ounces of gold and approximately 70,000 tonnes of copper.
A Feasibility Study announced in May 2024 considers an open-pit mine processing 50,000 tonnes per day with life-of-mine average annual payable gold production of 244,600 oz, 17.3 Mlb of copper and 446,700 oz of silver. Average metal recoveries are estimated at 92.7% for gold, 91.8% for copper and 91.9% for silver over an expected 22-year mine life.
Based on a revised Mineral Resource Estimate announced in October 2023, total Inclusive Indicated Mineral Resources are 508.3 Mt at 0.57 g/t Au containing 9.3 Moz Au, 0.07% Cu containing 729.5 Mlbs Cu, and 1.09 g/t Ag containing 17.8 Moz Ag. Total Inferred Resources contain 80.5 Mt at 0.58 g/t Au containing 1.48 Moz Au, 0.07% Cu containing 115.4 Mlbs Cu, and 1.47 g/t Ag containing 3.8 Moz Ag (based on an NSR cut-off grade of C$9.96/t).
